Job Description
We are looking to expand our chassis team. Starting rate is shown in this advert but higher banding is available for experience in building tippers, flat beds, drop sides, Luton bodies, cages, and vehicle transporters etc.
Duties to include:-
- Assembly of sub frames.
- Assembly of beds and head boards
- Assembly of corner pillars
- Fitting of vehicle accessories and safety equipment like hand washes, lights and beacons (electrical knowledge not essential as in house electricians can terminate the fittings).
- Tail lifts.
- Fall from height bars.
- Cutting Aluminium and other items.
- Measuring, drilling and preparation of equipment for installation.
- Reading and understanding drawings.
Welding would be an additional skill.
General up keep of the workshop and premises to aid with the smooth running of the workshop and conversion of vehicles
Must be accurate, have pride in your work and work to a high standard.

- Practical skills. Installations should be to a high standard.
- Good working knowledge and a proven background is essential.
- Work methodically and pay close attention to detail.
- Problem solving skills.
- Flexible, as the work can be varied.
- Have own tools and also be able to look after and care for any company tooling and equipment used.
- Effective communication and positive relations with employees at all levels within the organization.
- Be competent at working alone or as part of a team.
- Confidentiality regarding all processes, data and information contained and discussed in the department.
- Be aware of all Company policies and Health and Safety procedures and practices.
