HVAC Service Operations Manager
£40,000–£45,000 + £4,200 Car Allowance + Performance Bonus

We are recruiting for an experienced HVAC Service Operations Manager to establish, develop and grow a brand-new service and maintenance division within an established HVAC business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HVAC Service Manager, Operations Manager or commercially minded Senior HVAC Engineer who wants genuine autonomy and the opportunity to build a department from the ground up.
You will inherit an existing customer base while developing new planned and reactive maintenance contracts across predominantly industrial environments. As the division grows, you will recruit and manage your own team of engineers and support staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Building and managing a new HVAC service and maintenance division
- Developing new planned and reactive maintenance contracts
- Growing service revenue across existing and new customers
- Producing quotations and managing pricing
- Working to agreed revenue and gross-margin targets
- Managing customer relationships and service delivery
- Developing operational procedures, SOPs and service standards
- Overseeing departmental budgets, profitability and KPIs
- Providing technical guidance on complex HVAC service works
- Working closely with sales, accounts and project teams
- Recruiting, training and managing engineers as the division grows
- Using service-management and CRM systems to manage quotations and opportunities
Requirements
- At least five years’ HVAC service, maintenance or engineering experience
- Previous experience as an HVAC Service Manager, HVAC Operations Manager, Service Supervisor or Senior HVAC Engineer
- Strong knowledge of commercial or industrial HVAC systems
- Experience producing quotations, pricing work or developing maintenance contracts
- Commercially minded with the ability to grow existing and new accounts
- Confident managing customers and developing long-term relationships
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing budgets, margins or KPIs is advantageous
- SIMPRO or similar field-service software experience is advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
Package
- £40,000–£45,000 basic salary
- £350 per month car allowance
