Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who loves helping young children develop their confidence and achieve their potential?
We are currently looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Newton Aycliffe.
This is a varied role that would be ideal for someone who enjoys supporting children across different aspects of their learning. You will work closely with the class teacher, providing phonics support, small-group interventions and some 1:1 SEN support.
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, your day will be varied and rewarding. You will:

Support the delivery of phonics sessions and help children develop their early reading skills

Deliver small-group interventions to support children who need additional help with their learning

Provide some 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, helping them access learning and develop their independence

Support children within the classroom and work alongside the class teacher

Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment

Build strong relationships with pupils and encourage their confidence and enthusiasm for learning

Provide encouragement and reassurance to children who may need additional support

Previous experience working within a KS1 or primary setting would be highly desirable, particularly experience with phonics and interventions.
