Maintenance Engineer
SYSPAL Ltd, are market leaders in the Innovation, Design and Manufacture of bespoke aluminum and stainless steel equipment for a wide range of hygiene conscious industries such as food and beverage, veterinary and pharmaceutical.
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team to undertake a variety of preventative and reactive maintenance on fabrication engineering machinery and general building maintenance, whilst adhering to health & safety regulations.
The work is varied as you will be carrying out routine maintenance on a variety of machines, including Compressors, Welding Equipment, Press Brakes, Cross bay cranes, Laser cutting equipment and automated stock systems together with a number of other machines. Although the majority of the role will be preventative and reactive maintenance the successful applicant will be required to carry out the ‘mundane’ tasks.
To succeed in this position it is essential that you have:
- A formal engineering qualification or time served apprenticeship
- The ability to read & understand machine manuals
- Experience of operating routine/preventative maintenance programme
- Experience of general maintenance in a factory environment
It would be an advantage if you had:
- Electrical qualifications
- Fork Lift truck licence
- Experience of pneumatics (air lines)
- Experience of plumbing
- Experience of laying cables

Hours of work:
40 hours basic
Monday - Thursday 7.00am to 4.30pm & Friday 7.00am - 11.00am
You will be expected to work additional hours as necessary to complete duties.
Due to the location of our premises and the limitations of public transport the candidate would ideally have their own means of transport.
