Trust-Care is currently recruiting caring, reliable, and motivated Support Workers to join our team supporting vulnerable adults across the Glasgow area.
This rewarding role involves supporting individuals affected by homelessness, substance misuse, and mental health challenges. As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, improves wellbeing, and empowers people to achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives.
Successful candidates will work with individuals living in supported accommodation and community-based services, helping them develop essential life skills and build confidence in their day-to-day lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting individuals in temporary accommodation to develop the skills required to manage and sustain their own tenancy.
- Assisting service users to arrange, attend, and engage with appointments and external services.
- Encouraging participation in positive activities, wellness checks, social events, and community opportunities.
- Providing emotional support and acting as a positive role model.
- Promoting independence, choice, and inclusion while maintaining a person-centred approach.
Requirements
- A minimum of six months' experience in health and social care or a similar support role.
- The ability to build positive relationships and engage effectively with service users.
- Excellent communication and listening skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adults and helping them achieve positive outcomes.
