Sales & Service Advisor – Garden Machinery Showroom
Mowers & More Ltd is looking for a friendly, organised and motivated Sales & Service Advisor to join our garden machinery showroom team.
We are a busy, growing garden machinery dealership specialising in sales, servicing and repairs of domestic and commercial garden machinery, including ride-on mowers, robotic mowers, chainsaws, strimmers, hedge cutters and other groundcare equipment.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with customers, has a practical mindset and is confident dealing with both sales enquiries and service bookings. Experience in garden machinery, groundcare, agriculture, tools, vehicles or a similar trade environment would be an advantage, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
The role will involve welcoming customers into the showroom, answering phone and email enquiries, advising customers on suitable machinery, booking in service and repair work, preparing estimates, updating job sheets, ordering parts, following up with customers and supporting the wider team with day-to-day showroom operations.
You will need to be well organised, confident speaking to customers, comfortable using computer systems and able to work in a busy environment where no two days are the same. A basic technical understanding of machinery would be helpful, but full product training will be provided.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising customers on new and used garden machinery
- Booking in repairs, servicing and warranty work
- Creating and updating job sheets
- Liaising with workshop technicians and customers
- Preparing quotes and following up sales enquiries
- Ordering parts and checking availability
- Keeping the showroom tidy, presentable and well stocked
- Supporting robotic mower and commercial machinery enquiries
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent customer service skills
- A confident and professional telephone manner
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
- An interest in machinery, tools, groundcare or outdoor equipment
- The ability to work well as part of a small team
- A willingness to learn about new products and technology
