Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: East London
Daily Rate: £97 – £105 PAYE (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Ongoing
Start Date: Immediate
About the Role
Your Teaching is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in East London, and we’re looking for a kind, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
In this rewarding role, you’ll be supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), which may include ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or learning difficulties. These children benefit most from calm reassurance, consistency, and adults who genuinely believe in them. Your support will help them feel safe, confident, and ready to engage with learning at their own pace.
This is a role that requires care, empathy, and commitment — but it is also incredibly fulfilling. If you enjoy building meaningful relationships, celebrating small wins, and helping children overcome barriers, this could be a wonderful next step for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting pupils with SEN on a one-to-one or small-group basis
- Helping children access learning through tailored support and gentle encouragement
- Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to follow individual education plans
- Promoting independence, confidence, and positive behaviour in the classroom
- Creating a calm, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued
Who We’re Looking For:
- Someone with a warm, patient, and compassionate approach
- Experience working with children with SEN or additional needs (school-based or otherwise)
- A genuine desire to support children’s emotional, social, and academic development
- A positive team player who is flexible and responsive to individual needs
- Previous SEN experience is helpful but not essential — attitude and care matter most
Why Join This School?
- A friendly, supportive team that truly prioritises inclusion and wellbeing
- A school culture built on kindness, understanding, and collaboration
- Ongoing guidance from experienced staff who want you to succeed
- The chance to make a real, lasting difference in children’s lives
Why Work with Your Teaching?
- Competitive daily PAYE rate of £97–£105
- Dedicated, ongoing support from a friendly and experienced team
- Opportunities to develop your experience within SEN and inclusive education
- A role where your patience, care, and commitment truly matter
How to Apply
If you’re ready to step into a meaningful role where your kindness and support can help children thrive, we’d love to hear from you. Please apply through Your Teaching by submitting your CV and a short message about your interest in working with SEN pupils.
Your Teaching is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and robust vetting procedures.
