Wood is seeking a Principal HVAC Engineer to join on a contract basis. The role is to provide HVAC services across refinery, petrochemical and energy transition FEED and EPCM projects.

This is a hybrid role based in our Reading, UK office, with travel required as needed.
The Role
As a Principal HVAC Engineer, you will deliver HVAC engineering solutions, develop ventilation system designs, perform equipment sizing, and produce technical documentation. You may also act as Lead HVAC Engineer, reviewing deliverables and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and industry standards.
You will support project planning, manage design changes, prepare engineering calculations and specifications, and ensure work is delivered on schedule and within budget.

Expected:
- Degree Qualified in relevant field
- FEED / EPC experience
- Experience of client management and briefing activities
- Experience of coordination activities within a multi-disciplinary environment
- Sound technical, construction and specification knowledge of HVAC / Building Services equipment, and systems
- Good project management skills within HVAC discipline
- Experience of client / industry standards in the Oil and Gas sector
- Knowledge of current ‘Green’ directives as they relate to HVAC and building services
