Vehicle Prepper / Masker
Location: Rochester, Kent
Shift: Monday-Friday, 06:30-16:30 (30-minute paid lunch and 30-minute unpaid break)
Pay Rate: £15.96 per hour
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing Work
Are you a skilled Vehicle Prepper / Masker with experience in an automotive bodyshop setting? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
Working on behalf of one of the leading automotive companies in the UK, successful candidates will be preparing and masking a range of vehicles within a busy and fast-paced bodyshop environment.
The Role:
Within the Vehicle Prepper / Masker role, you will be responsible for the below tasks:
- Preparing vehicles and panels prior to painting.
- Sanding and preparing body panels to a high standard.
- Carrying out small to medium filler repairs.
- Bagging and masking vehicles to ensure only the required areas are exposed for painting.
- Priming panels ready for the paint process.
- Preparing individual parts and panels, including bumpers, wings, doors, and bonnets.
- Removing masking materials following the paint process where required.
- Ensuring all work is completed to company quality standards.
- Working on a range of vehicles, from small family cars through to light commercial vehicles.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
The Person:
- Previous experience working as a Vehicle Prepper, Vehicle Masker, or Prepper / Masker within an automotive bodyshop is essential.
- Good knowledge of vehicle preparation and masking techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work under your own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced workshop environment.
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
