Summary:

This role involves overseeing the management and execution of mechanical and electrical (M&E) programs, with a particular emphasis on lift and electrical compliance. The Senior Lift & Electrical Engineer is crucial in ensuring that all projects are completed safely, punctually, within budget, and in adherence to statutory and regulatory standards. The position requires managing contractors, supervising projects, and offering technical expertise to guarantee exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

Lead and manage lift and electrical compliance programs and projects from start to finish.

Develop comprehensive project plans, specifications, and tender documents.

Track project progress to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

Conduct feasibility studies, options appraisals, and prepare technical reports.

Oversee and evaluate contractors responsible for repairs, servicing, and maintenance contracts.

Audit contractor performance to ensure compliance with specifications and statutory obligations.

Facilitate and participate in progress meetings with contractors and consultants.

Ensure accurate certification and reporting are maintained in the relevant systems.
Requirements:

Extensive experience in managing lift and electrical compliance contracts.

Demonstrated success in project and program management within M&E or building services.

Proficiency in managing budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Strong skills in contractor and stakeholder management.
Essential Qualifications:

Relevant technical qualification in Lift or Electrical Engineering, such as:

Level 4 VRQ in Electrical Safety Management

Level 4 VRQ Diploma in Asset & Building Management Compliance

Level 3/4 Engineering Maintenance qualification or equivalent
Additional Information:

Contract Duration: 6 months with a local authority

Pay Rate: £516.63 per day (Umbrella)
