Contract Type: Long-Term Pay: £180.00 – £230.00 per day
Are you a passionate and dedicated English Teacher looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity? We are working with a well-established and popular secondary school in Burnley who are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and above.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic progress while working within a supportive and collaborative school environment.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach English Language and/or Literature to students across KS3 and above
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents where required
- Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and school activities
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, attainment, and progress
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential
- Experience: Proven experience teaching or tutoring English at secondary school level
- Enhanced DBS Certificate: Valid and up to date, or willingness to apply
- Right to Work in the UK: Required
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
