We are looking for a friendly and confident team player to join our busy coffee shop in the centre of Peterborough.
The role is 16-20 hours per week, Monday to Friday (between our operating times of 7am and 4pm) but additional hours will be available to cover sickness, holiday or unexpected events. The ideal applicant would also be able to make occasional small deliveries within a short distance of the shop, using their own car.
Job responsibilities
- Preparing sandwiches, salads, paninis, cooking off pastries etc
- Labeling products, ensuring accuracy
- Keeping the shop clean and tidy
- Serving customers
- Making drinks, including coffee, tea and iced drinks
- Restocking
- Due diligence (temperatures, SFBB Diary)
- Completing any training required
Candidates must be physically fit, as duties include bending, lifting and full shifts on their feet. They should be imaginative, reliable, trustworthy, a team player, confident and friendly. Driving licence is desirable to make occasional local deliveries (mileage allowance of 45p per mile payable)
Unusually, but often welcome for such a role, the position has no weekend, bank holiday or shift work, although the candidate will need some flexibility to help cover times when colleagues are on annual leave or sick, or particularly busy weeks.
