Summary
Coppull St Johns CE Primary School is seeking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic Out of School Club Assistant to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of a safe, engaging and inclusive after-school provision, helping to create a positive environment where children can play, relax and develop socially.

Working Pattern
- 8.66 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday
- 3:20pm 5:30pm
This is a term time only position.
Contract Type
Fixed Term (Maternity Cover), September 2026 to May 2027, or until the substantive post holder returns
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in a range of play and leisure activities
- Plan and deliver appropriate activities in line with the needs of the children
- Support a safe, positive and inclusive environment
- Prepare and serve snacks and maintain cleanliness of the club area
- Record attendance and communicate effectively with parents and staff
- Work independently on a day-to-day basis, using initiative appropriately, with support available from senior staff including the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety and school procedures at all times
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality

- Reliable, organised and flexible approach to work
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working with or caring for children
- Relevant childcare qualification
