THE ROLE
We are looking for dedicated and personable floor staff to serve our customers to the highest standard and provide a personal and memorable experience to our guests.
Duties & responsibilities
The following are just some of what you can expect to be doing. We’ll provide the training you need
You’ll be:
__ Following our 10 Steps of Service to ensure a consistently memorable experience
__ Dealing directly with our guests- presenting menus, taking orders and serving food and drinks
__ Taking accountability for each dish you serve, ensuring quality and maintaining standards
__ Preparing tables for meals, including the complete set up of linens, silverware and glassware.
__ Greeting guests in a professional manner and provide education about the food and beverage menus, how menu items are prepared, the ingredients used and the different cooking methods.
__ Informing customers of daily specials.
__ Serving food and beverage to guests.
__ Receiving guest payments and process transactions.
__ Clearing and clean tables promptly according to proper sanitation standards.
__ Completing side duties as required including, polishing silverware, a restaurant set up, and filling condiments.
__ Educating customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.
__ You must consistently be able to assess, anticipate and meet guests’ needs and respond quickly without losing focus or projecting a mood that detracts from guests’ dining experience. This requires practical knowledge of industry customer service standards.
__ Demonstrating a good knowledge and understanding of the full menu, ready to answer any queries / make suggestions to our guests
__ Working as a team player. Team players are the starts of our show!
What we are looking for
If you meet some but not all the criteria below, we’d still love to hear from you. We understand the value of transferable skills.
Our preferences for this role (when reviewing candidates) are that you have some experience in or exposure to, or an interest in providing a show-stopping level of guest service in a high-end hospitality or cinema environment. This will include being open to training, feedback, guidance and doing your best!
This may include:
__ Experience in a similar front of house role or willingness to learn, alongside an approachable, can-do attitude
__ Good clear communication skills, particularly your email and phone etiquette
__ Excellent people skills and a strong team spirit
__ The ability to jump in and get it done as part of a professional supportive team
__ A true passion and enthusiasm for people and film!

A cinema that was once a recording studio, then a cinema again, and is soon to be a recording studio once more. Also home to a Members’ Club and Bar & Bistro.
Our flagship has a rich and storied history, with many iterations over the years, but always remaining a place to enjoy entertainment. As custodians of this iconic building, we continue to honour its legacy while shaping its future as a hub of entertainment.
The Olympic in Barnes has a three-screen cinema, a members’ club, further members-only spaces, a Bar & Bistro, an outdoor terrace, and, re-opening in 2025, the music recording studio.
Job Types: Full-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £14.35-£14.85 per hour
