Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Caffe Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively café environment, preparing and serving a variety of beverages and light food items, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, be organised, and thrive in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer queries, and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system.
- Ensure the café area is clean, tidy, and well-stocked at all times.
- Follow food safety standards and hygiene procedures diligently.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling light snacks or pastries when required.
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods.
- Maintain a welcoming environment by engaging positively with customers and colleagues alike.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or background in serving food and beverages is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Friendly demeanour with good communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends if required.
