Dispatch Operator – Join Our Team
We are currently seeking a Dispatch Operator to join our team, responsible for coordinating and managing transportation and recovery activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational and communication skills looking to develop within a fast-paced environment.
Role Overview:
As a Dispatch Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of drivers and vehicles. You will be responsible for managing daily operations, communicating with drivers and customers, and ensuring all activities are carried out efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation and recovery activities
- Use transportation management systems to track vehicles and drivers
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Accurately complete data entry and administrative tasks
- Utilise the APEX system for dispatch operations
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operational flow
- Maintain a professional and courteous telephone manner at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a dispatch, logistics, or similar role is advantageous
- Familiarity with transportation management systems is beneficial
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good attention to detail and organisational ability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
