About Chi Chi
Chi Chi is a vibrant margarita bar in the heart of Harrogate, offering great drinks, music and a fun atmosphere for our guests. We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Supervisor to join our team and help lead the bar operation.
The Role
As Bar Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the bar, supporting the team and delivering an excellent customer experience. You’ll be confident leading a busy shift, maintaining high standards and taking responsibility for opening and closing procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and supporting the bar team during busy shifts
- Leading by example and ensuring excellent customer service at all times
- Opening and closing the venue safely and efficiently
- Completing opening and closing checklists
- Setting up the bar ready for service, including stock, tills and equipment
- Cash handling, operating tills and cashing up at the end of shifts
- Completing end-of-day cash and till procedures accurately
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or issues
- Helping with stock deliveries, rotation and storage
- Ensuring the bar is clean, organised and fully stocked throughout service
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, health & safety and licensing compliance
- Dealing confidently with customer queries and resolving issues professionally
- Supporting the management team with the smooth running of the venue
- Supervising staff breaks, duties and general shift organisation
- Ensuring all team members follow company policies and procedures
- Assisting with training and coaching new and existing team members
- Helping create a positive, energetic and professional working environment
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a bar, hospitality or supervisory role
- must have cocktail experience
- Is confident leading a team during busy periods
- Has experience with opening, closing and cashing up
- Is reliable, organised and trustworthy
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills
- Can remain calm and professional under pressure
- Has a good understanding of responsible alcohol service
- Is flexible and available to work evenings, weekends and busy periods
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards
- Is energetic, approachable and enjoys working as part of a team
