Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Religious Worker for a temporary two-year contract to support our community and spiritual programmes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering spiritual growth, providing mentorship, and engaging with diverse groups, including children. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our organisation’s mission while developing leadership in the community
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily temple worship service prayers, and religious rituals Aarti Abhishekh and puja accordingly to Hindu tradition.
- Deliver religious teachings and facilitate spiritual activities aligned with organisational values
- Provide mentorship and guidance to individuals of all ages, including children, fostering personal growth and community engagement
- Lead prayer sessions, ceremonies, and special events with professionalism and sensitivity
- Offering spiritual learning sessions
- Organise fundraising major events Diwali, Navratri and Janmashtami to support community
- Collaborate with team members to develop programmes that promote inclusivity and community participation
- Support religious classes, cultural teaching Sanskrit prayers, and devotional chants
- Help prepare Prasadam ( blessed food)
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate others
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively across different age groups
- Demonstrated ability to organise events such as fundraising activities or community programmes
- Compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to service and community development
- Applicants must have previous experience in working as a religious worker
- Applicants must be strict vegetarian, Hindu, and satisfy the religious requirements of the role
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK or be eligible for sponsorship under the relevant UK visa route

Pay: £25,500.00 per year
