Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver specialising in skip and chain lorry operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting waste materials and other goods to various locations. This role requires a dedicated individual with experience in commercial driving, particularly with skip vehicles, who can uphold high standards of safety and customer service.
This role is Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating Class 2 (Category C) vehicles safely and in compliance with regulations
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Carrying out deliveries and collections on time
- Loading and unloading goods where required
- Ensuring all loads are secured correctly
- Completing delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately
- Adhering to driver hours, tachograph, and health & safety regulations
- Providing a professional and courteous service to customers
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification
- Digital tachograph card
- Minimum of 2 years commercial vehicle experience
- Previous HGV driving experience preferred
- Good knowledge of UK road networks
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and hard-working attitude
