We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Cook/Chef to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Full UK driving licence as you may be accepting to pick up the food shopping.

Duties
- Prepare and cook balanced meals and snacks tailored to the dietary needs of children in the nursery
- Plan menus that incorporate healthy ingredients and variety to promote good nutrition
- Ensure all food preparation complies with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Serve meals in a friendly, welcoming manner that encourages positive mealtime experiences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Monitor food storage conditions to prevent spoilage and ensure freshness
- Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary requirements or allergies
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, ideally within a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards in a kitchen environment
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with meal planning, portion control, and nutritional guidelines for young children
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and respond to dietary needs
