Mitie is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Hygiene Operatives to join our team at the iconic McVitie's factory in Manchester.
This is a key role supporting food production by ensuring manufacturing equipment, production lines and processing areas are cleaned to the highest standards of hygiene, safety and food quality. Working as part of a dedicated hygiene team, you will help maintain a safe, compliant and production-ready environment within a fast-paced food manufacturing facility.
- Carry out cleaning of production lines, machinery and manufacturing areas.
- Complete deep cleaning and scheduled hygiene tasks in line with site standards.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals, equipment and PPE.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and contamination control procedures.
- Report damaged equipment, hygiene concerns and safety hazards.
- Complete hygiene records and support audit readiness activities.
- Previous experience in hygiene, industrial cleaning, manufacturing or food production is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive, reliable and flexible approach to work.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and food hygiene.
