We are looking for a friendly, organised, and professional Optical and Hearing Care Assistant to join our team. This is a front-facing role where you will be the first point of contact for our patients, so delivering excellent customer service is essential.
This is a full-time position, working 5 days, Monday - Saturday with a day off in the week.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Managing appointment bookings and diary scheduling
- Answering telephone and email enquiries
- Handling patient records accurately and confidentially
- Processing payments and supporting general administrative tasks
- Supporting the clinical team to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the practice
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role is essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Confident using computers and practice systems
- Ability to work well in a busy environment
Desirable (but not essential)
- Previous experience in an optical or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of optical products or NHS processes
