SystemsAccountants' Workday Practice is working with a client who are seeking a Global O2C Process Owner to serve as the architect of their end-to-end revenue lifecycle. You will be responsible for defining the global vision for the Order-to-Cash cycle, ensuring that as they scale, their processes remain seamless, compliant, and optimized for cash flow and customer experience.
As the Global O2C Process Owner, you will own the blueprint for how revenue is captured, managed, and collected across all our markets. You will bridge the gap between Finance, Sales, IT, Operations and Tax to ensure the O2C ecosystem is a competitive advantage, not a bottleneck. You will own the strategic roadmap for the Workday O2C modules, manage our high-value debtors factoring program, and navigate the complex landscape of global e-invoicing compliance.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Design: Define and maintain the Global Standard Process for the entire O2C cycle, including customer master data, credit management, billing/invoicing, collections, and cash application.
- Digital Transformation: Act as the functional lead for O2C system enhancements, partnering with IT to ensure our ERP and billing platforms support global scalability.
- Revenue Integrity: Ensure all O2C processes are strictly aligned with IFRS 15. Partner with Technical Accounting to translate complex service contracts into standardized billing workflows.
- Internal Controls: Establish and monitor a robust framework of internal controls. Ensure the O2C function is consistently "audit-ready" and compliant with global financial policies.
- Metric Framework: Design and implement a global O2C dashboard tracking critical KPIs, including Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), Collection Effectiveness Index (CEI), Billing Accuracy, and Unapplied Cash.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Sales and Legal to ensure "Quote-to-Contract" flows seamlessly into "Order-to-Cash," minimizing downstream disputes.
- Change Management: Act as the primary change agent for global process migrations, ensuring local finance teams are trained, supported, and aligned with the global template.
About you:
- Professional Background: 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance Operations, with at least 5 years specifically focused on O2C Process Ownership or Global Process Management in a large multinational environment ($1B+ revenue).
- Industry Context: Previous experience in a high-volume services industry (e.g., Tech, Media, Professional Services, or Gaming) where complex service-level agreements and milestone-based billing are the norm.
- Technical Mastery: Expert-level understanding of IFRS 15 and revenue recognition principles.
Deep knowledge of multi-jurisdictional invoicing compliance and international tax considerations.
Advanced proficiency in tier-one ERP systems (Workday, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Educational Credentials: University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) or a Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is highly preferred.
