County Clothes has been dressing men across Kent, East Sussex, and Surrey since 1976. We're looking for a reliable Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our Canterbury warehouse team, keeping stock moving between our warehouse and stores.
Overview
This is a hands-on role split between driving and warehouse duties. You'll be responsible for delivering stock to our stores across Kent, East Sussex, and Surrey (including Herne Bay, Bexhill, Canterbury, Reigate, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, and Tenterden), as well as supporting day-to-day operations in the warehouse. It's a great fit for someone who's organised, physically capable, and happy working independently on the road as well as part of a team back at base.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–15:00
Location: Based at County Clothes warehouse, Canterbury, with regular travel to stores across Kent, East Sussex, and Surrey
Responsibilities
- Safely drive company vehicles to deliver stock to stores across Kent, East Sussex, and Surrey on a scheduled route
- Load and unload deliveries accurately, checking stock against delivery notes
- Carry out manual handling of stock, including lifting and moving boxes and garment rails
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch to stores
- Receive and check incoming stock deliveries into the warehouse
- Keep the warehouse tidy, organised, and stock correctly stored/labelled
- Report any vehicle issues, damages, or discrepancies promptly
- Liaise with store teams to ensure smooth and timely deliveries
- Follow health & safety procedures for driving, manual handling, and warehouse operations
Skills & Experience
- Must be aged 18 or over
- Full, clean UK driving licence required
- Previous driving/delivery or warehouse experience preferred but not essential
- Physically fit and comfortable with regular manual handling
- Good time-keeping and reliability — comfortable managing a multi-drop delivery route
- Well-organised with good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- A positive, can-do attitude and team player mentality
- Good local knowledge of Kent, East Sussex, and Surrey helpful but not essential
Pay: £11.50-£13.50 per hour
