Job Overview
Korean BBQ Dundee is looking for a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and has experience working in an Asian restaurant, particularly someone who has previous wok cooking experience.
You will be responsible for preparing and cooking Korean dishes to a high standard, maintaining food quality and hygiene, and working efficiently as part of our kitchen team during busy service periods.

Duties
- Prepare and cook Korean and Asian dishes according to our recipes and standards.
- Operate a wok confidently and efficiently during service.
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion control.
- Prepare ingredients and complete kitchen preparation before service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations at all times.
- Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Assist with stock rotation, food preparation and general kitchen duties.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation during busy periods.
- Support other kitchen team members when required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous professional chef experience in an Asian restaurant is highly desirable.
- Previous wok cooking experience is preferred.
- Experience preparing Korean or other Asian cuisine is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, hardworking and responsible attitude.
- Ability to maintain consistent food quality during busy service.
- Korean cuisine experience is an advantage, but not essential for the right candidate.
Working Hours
- Full-time position
- 5 or 6 days per week (Negotiable)
- Availability to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday is essential

Pay: From £32,000.00 per year
