Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial and public spaces. Your proactive approach and dedication will ensure environments are safe, welcoming, and well-presented for staff, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous janitorial experience who thrive in a dynamic cleaning environment.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and communal spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and products
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards of hygiene and safety
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll to ensure continuous availability
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination during cleaning activities
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to the supervisor promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning supplies and equipment
- Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines and flexible to accommodate additional tasks as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles, demonstrating reliability and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, health & safety regulations, and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within allocated periods
- Good communication skills for reporting issues or completing documentation accurately
- Physically capable of performing manual tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Positive attitude with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
