Internal Sales Engineer

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Internal Sales Engineer to join our team in Redditch.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded sales professional with experience of electric motors, geared motors, gearboxes or industrial power transmission products. Working within a collaborative team environment, you will support customers by providing technical solutions, preparing quotations and managing enquiries through to order placement.
You will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service while identifying the most suitable products and solutions to meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support customer enquiries through the sales process.
- Prepare technical and commercial quotations.
- Interpret customer specifications and application requirements to develop suitable technical solutions.
- Provide pricing, product availability and technical guidance to customers.
- Support order processing and ensure a smooth handover between quotation and order stages.
- Take ownership of customer queries and resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain regular communication with WEG teams and manufacturing facilities both in the UK and globally.
- Build strong working relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Assist with technical meetings, product training and customer visits when required.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused individual who can combine technical knowledge with strong commercial awareness.
You will have:
- Experience within a sales engineering, internal sales or technical customer support environment.
- Good working knowledge of geared motors, gearboxes, electric motors or industrial power transmission equipment.
- ONC, HNC, HND or higher qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar technical role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using SAP would be advantageous.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
