Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Level 3 Motor Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be competent and responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles up to 3500kg with precision and efficiency. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The successful candidate will utilise advanced technical knowledge and specialised tools to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse vehicle systems in a fast-paced environment, contributing to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle servicing, diagnostics and repairs using the latest diagnotic tools.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension and electrical systems.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently.
- Utilise technical help systems such as Autodata.
- Carry out equipment repair and maintenance tasks to ensure all tools and machinery are in optimal working condition.
- Repair of all vehicle systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings in accordance with company standards.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a motor vehicle technician at Level 2 or working towards level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- M.o.T tester an advantage but not essential
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and electrical diagnostics.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a workshop environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
Pay: £26,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
