Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. In this role, you will play a part in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children to explore, learn, and grow. Your experience in working with children will help foster developmentally appropriate activities that support early childhood education principles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives while working within a supportive and energetic team.
Duties
- Offer engaging activities that promote children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development in accordance with early childhood education standards
- Providing high-quality care and educational for all children to extend their learning
- Develop and implement tailored activities to the individual needs of each child
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, attendance, and developmental milestones using the Birth to 5 Matters
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child’s progress, needs, and any concerns
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to health and safety policies of the nursery at all times
- Drive continuous improvement by participating in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
- Hold a valid Level 3 or above in Early Years Education, or an Early Years Teacher status
- Proven experience working with children within nursery or preschool settings
- Excellent skills in English and Math
- The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Ability to work flexible across 3 settings when asked to
- Be able to demonstrate commitment to safeguarding children and promoting inclusive practices
