Are you a passionate and dedicated individual with a heart for supporting students as they navigate their formative years? Skippers Hill is seeking a compassionate and proactive Individual Needs Assistant to join our close-knit, nurturing community for the upcoming academic year.
About the Role
The successful candidate will support a pupil who is keen to learn and responds well to positive relationships. The role focuses on helping them access the curriculum, remain organised and build independence, rather than managing behavioural difficulties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 as directed by the SENCO and teaching staff.
- Supporting the pupil's confidence, independence and engagement with learning within the classroom setting. ssisting with the delivery of the EHCP.
- Adapting resources to ensure accessibility
- Collaborating closely with teachers to monitor progress and celebrate achievements.

- Experience: Previous experience in an educational setting or working with children with additional needs is highly desirable.
- Approach: A patient, positive, and proactive communication style.
- Teamwork: The ability to work collaboratively as part of a small, supportive team.
- Flexibility: An ability to respond to the changing needs of the classroom and individual students.
