Lochcarron of Scotland is a leading designer and manufacturer of tartan fabric and products based at Selkirk in the Scottish Borders.
A position has arisen within our production office at our factory in Selkirk for a Production Co-ordinator.
The successful candidate will primarily be working alongside our Production Manager and the main duties will include:
- Assist in the planning and monitoring of the production schedule, including the organising and allocating of weave tickets, work instructions and goods to partner manufacturers.
- Assist with the training and development of production staff and monitor staffing levels ensuring they are appropriate for efficient flow of production.
- Monitoring manufacturing processes and output, checking suppliers comply with standards at both national and international level.
- Co-ordinating, if required, the purchasing, cost negotiation and quality approval of raw materials and supplies.
- Ordering stock supplies as required by the department.
- Maintains the highest standards of customer service, including advising line manager of any issues that may potentially affect quality during the production process.
- Oversees the yearly physical stock.
- Constantly review best practices and liaise with the Production Manager on how tasks can be improved / altered.
Textile experience would be preferred. You will be computer literate including knowledge of spreadsheets.
You will have strong communication skills and have experience with supervising and liaising with a team.
This is a full-time role, 39 hours per week over 4 days, Monday to Thursday.
