Our Client is looking to upskill - Vehicle Technicians / HGV Technicians / Plant Fitters / Generator Engineers
We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to join clients leading engineering team, working to service, maintain, and repair generators, Biogas plants, plants, CHP Systems and associated plant machinery.
The main responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer will include -
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and emergency breakdown support on gas engines, generators and associated plant.
- Diagnosing, fault-finding and repairing mechanical, electrical and control system issues.
- Carrying out engine servicing, inspections, adjustments and component replacements in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Monitoring engine performance and carrying out diagnostic testing to identify potential issues before they develop into failures.
- Working on gas engine systems including fuel, ignition, lubrication, cooling, exhaust and electrical generation systems.
- Using engine management systems, PLCs, diagnostic software and control panels to identify and resolve faults.
- Supporting the installation, commissioning, testing and optimisation of new gas engines, generators and associated systems.
