Role Purpose
To manage the efficient, accurate and compliant receipt of all inbound goods and support the smooth running of transport and dispatch operations. The role ensures materials arrive on time, are correctly recorded, and are available for production and customer orders. It also provides administrative and operational support to the Transport Manager, ensuring continuity of service and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Goods In & Warehouse Coordination
Receive, check and book in all inbound deliveries, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Inspect goods for damage, discrepancies or quality issues and escalate where required.
Maintain accurate stock records and ensure materials are stored safely and correctly.
Coordinate with Production, Labelling and Office teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
Manage returns, rejected goods and supplier queries.
Transport & Dispatch Support
Assist with planning daily collections and deliveries, ensuring efficient routing and scheduling.
Liaise with drivers, hauliers and logistics partners to resolve delays or issues.
Prepare dispatch paperwork, including delivery notes, manifests and transport documentation.
Support vehicle compliance tasks such as maintenance scheduling and defect reporting.
Provide cover for the Transport Manager during absence or peak periods.
Maintain accurate records for inbound and outbound goods.
Ensure compliance with transport regulations, site safety procedures and internal SOPs.
Systems & Administration
Use internal systems to book in stock, update records and maintain traceability.
Support stock investigations, adjustments and cycle counts.
Work with the Operations Manager to improve processes and reduce errors.
Produce reports on goods‑in performance, discrepancies and transport activity.
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
