We're now looking for a Junior Accounts Payable Assistant to join our friendly finance team and support the smooth running of our accounts payable function.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounts payable experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative finance team.
Reporting to the Management Accountant and working within a team of five, you'll play a key role in processing invoices, supporting suppliers and colleagues, and ensuring our financial records remain accurate and up to date.
What You'll Be Doing
- Processing a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
- Coding invoices across multiple offices and properties
- Processing employee expenses
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Responding to supplier and internal finance queries by email and telephone
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects
- Helping maintain accurate and organised financial records
What We're Looking For
- 1-2 years' experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills
- A proactive and positive approach to work
- Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Studying towards an AAT qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
