Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Bar Person to join our team in the sales of high-quality beverages and snacks. The ideal candidate will have experience in barrel changing (keg and cask) while ensuring the smooth running of all processes. As the face of the club, any member of staff must be smart and customer orientated (experienced). This is an urgent need with a quick start for the right person who can hit the ground running. Ability to get to site quickly is essential so only local applicants can be considered. Any applicant must be flexible to cover shifts for illness and holidays which could be at any time during our opening hours. Availability Friday/Saturday afternoon/evenings is paramount as our busiest times (especially part nights).
Duties
- Monitor and assist with good condition of cellar equipment and machinery
- Have the ability to identify and perform quality control checks on beverages
- Clean and sanitise the cellar, bar and customer areas and equipment
- Assist in stock management, inventory control and stock rotation
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times
- Change keg/cask beers and gas as required (fixing any issues)
- Handling money, tilling up and logging takings
- Occasionally working unsociable hours and at short notice (sickness cover)
- and on VERY rare occasions. dealing with difficult customers (is is a private members club)
Experience
- Previous experience in bar and cellar environment is required
- Knowledge of beverage quality and stock rotation is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills are essential including an English qualification
- A mathematics qualification is essential
This is an urgent requirement with immediate interview and potential start date.
