About the Role
Beaver Floorcare is looking for an experienced Wood Floor Sander & Finisher to join our team on a temporary 6 to 12-month contract. Due to an increase in workload, we are seeking a skilled professional with proven experience in the restoration, sanding, and finishing of hardwood floors.
This role involves working on prestigious commercial and residential projects across the UK, including luxury hotels, heritage buildings, and high-end residential properties. The successful candidate must be flexible with working hours, as some projects require night shifts, weekend working, and working away from home at different locations across the UK. All travel, accommodation, and work-related expenses are fully covered when working away.
Key Responsibilities
- Sanding and refinishing solid and engineered timber flooring.
- Applying stains, sealers, lacquers, oils, and specialist finishes.
- Carrying out floor repairs, board replacements, and restoration work.
- Operating professional sanding machinery safely and efficiently.
- Producing high-quality finishes to commercial and residential standards.
- Working as part of a professional team while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Following all company health and safety procedures.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in wood floor sanding and finishing.
- Experience using professional sanding equipment (e.g. Lagler, Bona, Pallmann, or similar).
- Knowledge of commercial and domestic wood floor restoration techniques.
- A strong eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A full UK driving licence.
- The flexibility to travel and work away from home at different locations throughout the UK, including overnight stays and night shifts when required.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The right to work in the United Kingdom.
