Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Care Home Manager to oversee the smooth operation of a 33-bed residential care home in Market Weighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the care team, ensuring high standards of resident care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. Duties
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality assisted living and nursing care.
- Oversee the development and implementation of personalised care plans for residents, including those requiring specialised dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
- Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and supervision.
- Ensure medication administration is carried out accurately and in accordance with legal and organisational policies.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, including CQC standards, safeguarding protocols, and health & safety regulations.
- Monitor resident wellbeing, addressing any concerns promptly to ensure their comfort, safety, and dignity.
- Manage administrative duties such as staffing rotas, record keeping, and liaising with families and external professionals.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the home to enhance resident satisfaction and staff development.
Skills
- Proven experience in nursing home management or senior care leadership within a care home or home care setting.
- Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, medication administration, and developing personalised care plans.
- Demonstrable supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of care professionals.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Compassionate approach combined with strong leadership qualities to support residents’ physical and emotional needs.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as CQC requirements and safeguarding procedures.
- Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
