Launch a Landmark Bar in the Heart of Bath
Join the opening team of Parade Hotel Bath and help create one of the city’s most exciting new hospitality destinations. Set within Bath’s Georgian heart, the hotel is being beautifully restored to blend timeless architecture with modern elegance, warm hospitality, and memorable experiences. Opening in late summer 2026, our bar and lounge will operate throughout the day from morning coffee to evening cocktails with a drinks programme built on quality, curiosity, and genuine service.
The Opportunity
This is more than a bartending role. It is an opportunity to leave your mark on a destination bar from day one, influence its cocktail programme and guest experience, and help create a positive team culture that sets the standard for excellence.
As Bar Supervisor you will assist the Bar Manager in leading the day-to-day operation of the hotel bar and lounge, while supporting the upcoming sister restaurant bar and wine offering. You will lead from the floor, set exceptional standards, and create an atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences through friendly, professional, and attentive bar service.
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, spirits, beers, coffees, and signature drinks to company standards.
- Maintain high service standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation across all drinks served.
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge to confidently recommend beverages and maximise upselling opportunities.
- Support the Bar Manager/Supervisor with stock rotation, replenishment, inventory checks, and reporting low-stock items.
- Assist in training and supporting new team members in cocktail preparation, coffee service, and responsible alcohol service.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, food safety regulations, hygiene procedures, and health safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked bar area throughout service.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, balancing tills and completing end-of-shift duties as required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the bar, new opening restaurant, and hotel to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and outstanding guest satisfaction.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Support the wider hotel operation with a flexible, hands-on approach when required.
About You
You’ll bring personality, passion, and professionalism to the role. You enjoy creating memorable guest experiences, work confidently in a busy environment, and take pride in delivering consistently high standards of service, quality, and presentation.
You’ll ideally have:
- 2+ years’ experience within a quality hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of premium cocktails, spirits, and wines
- Bringing your personality and presence to our stage
- A calm, confident presence under pressure
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
