We are currently seeking an efficient, organized, and proactive Office Administrator to join our team. This is a vital role situated at the heart of our operations, helping to ensure our back-office functions run smoothly and our installation teams are fully supported.
This is initially a temporary position with a genuine opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate who demonstrates the right drive and capability.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answering Calls & Emails: Act as the first point of contact for the business. Professionally handle inbound phone calls and manage the company email inbox, addressing customer enquiries and supplier communications.
- Diary Management: Coordinate and manage schedules, book client appointments, and organize workloads for our electrical and solar installation teams.
- Ordering Materials: Liaise with wholesalers and suppliers to order essential electrical and solar materials, ensuring they arrive on schedule for upcoming projects.
- Filing & Compliance: Maintain, update, and organise physical and digital filing systems, including compliance certificates, site reports, and general paperwork.
- General Administration: Assist management with daily administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the business.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements):
- Reliability & Attitude: You must be highly hard-working, punctual, and possess excellent timekeeping skills. Consistency is key for this role.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptionally organised with the ability to multitask, prioritise tasks efficiently, and handle a busy workload.
- Communication: Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and friendly telephone manner.
- IT Literacy: Competent in using computers, standard Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel), and email/digital calendar systems.
- Industry Experience (Bonus): Previous experience working within an electrical, renewable energy, or construction contracting office is an advantage but not essential, as training will be provided.
