Duties
This is a hands-on leadership role, with an expected split of approximately 70% productive, chargeable workshop work and 30% supervisory and leadership responsibilities.
· Leading, supporting and developing workshop technicians in the service, maintenance and repair of Palfinger and Epsilon lorry-cranes and ancillary equipment.
· Helping to plan workloads and keep jobs moving efficiently through the workshop.
· Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and compliance across the depot.
· Supporting the Depot Manager by driving workshop revenue, cost control and profitability.
· Identify and support training needs across the team.
Requirements:
· Proven experience in a supervisory, senior service technician or leadership role within a workshop environment
· Demonstrable experience in the service and repair of cranes or similar hydraulic equipment such as forklifts, agricultural machinery, HGVs, powered access
· Strong technical knowledge across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and software systems
· A recognised qualification such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Plant Maintenance, or similar
· Strong communication and positive leadership skills
This is a workshop-based role, so you’ll need to live within a reasonable commute of Dartford and be able to work on site Monday to Friday.
