As such we are recruiting a Community Support Worker to support our client.
Experience is not essential to this role as we offer in-depth training and 2 weeks minimum of shadowing with our experienced staff.
Responsibilities of this role include supporting with daily living, minimal personal care, medication, accessing the community and encouraging our customers to lead a fulfilling life. You will be making a real difference to someone life and supporting them with daily activities
Our working hours are from 8:00 am - 20:00pm on a flexible 2-week rolling rota, including work every other weekend.
All our contracts are casual contracts, we fill most availability and if there are gaps, we try to fill them with training and E-Learning, so you are still paid.
We are looking for...
- Previous experience is preferable, but optional, as we offer complete training.
- The ability to engage, listen and communicate in a variety of ways.
- To be passionate about your work and bring a positive attitude to your work.
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Availability to work every other weekend.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to various locations.
- You must have a full driving license with access to your own vehicle and obtain business insurance to be considered for this role.
- Due to the personal nature of the role and the needs of our service users currently, this position is restricted to female applicants only. This is a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.

The types of support we provided:
- We do provide some personal care support to individuals in the community, not as much as you would in a care home or community care, but this is still an element of this role.
- Medication Administration and Prompting.
- Domestic household tasks e.g. cooking, cleaning and supporting with correspondence.
- Access to the community – we support individuals to access the community in our own vehicles e.g. Shopping, appointments, day trip to local places.
- General wellbeing – We do spend time talking and listening to help understand/check on an individual’s general wellbeing and mental wellness.
