Position Overview
Victory Amusements is seeking a structured, reliable, and hands-on Venue Manager to oversee the daily operations, compliance, and staff management of our venue.
We provide our managers with a professional, streamlined reporting structure and clear operational guidelines. This role is ideal for an experienced supervisor or manager who prefers a direct working environment with efficient decision-making processes, rather than the layers of bureaucracy often found in large corporate chains. We expect our managers to take full ownership of their site performance, supported by well-established company systems.
The Package:
- Contracted Hours: Options for a 40-hour contract or a 45-hour contract.
- Bonus Structure: Realizable OTE directly tied to the performance of your specific venue.
- Operational Framework: Clear, well-established company processes for cash handling, security, and daily routines, providing the structure needed to manage effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process & Compliance Management: Ensure the venue strictly adheres to all licensing objectives, social responsibility codes, health & safety regulations, and robust cash-handling procedures.
- Team Leadership & Accountability: Oversee staff recruitment, rota management, and ongoing training. Maintain a professional culture by addressing performance issues and staff dynamics firmly and fairly.
- Operational Standards: Lead by example on the venue floor. Ensure the site remains immaculate, welcoming, and fully operational at all times.
- Performance Monitoring: Execute business routines to maintain customer retention, manage venue floats, and ensure consistent site performance.
Requirements:
- Management Experience: Proven supervisory or management experience within a structured, high-standards retail, service, or hospitality environment.
- Procedural Discipline: A strong track record of working within strict operational frameworks, particularly regarding cash management, audit compliance, and security.
- People Management Skills: The ability to communicate clear expectations to a team and handle challenging staff dynamics with confidence and professionalism.
- Flexibility: Availability to work a flexible rota that includes evenings and weekends to support the business during peak trading hours.
