We are looking for an experienced hospitality professional with strong leadership skills who is passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences and supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy venue. The successful candidate will lead by example, maintain high standards, and help drive a positive culture where both customers and team members feel valued.
This is a hands-on management role requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. You will work closely with senior management to ensure smooth daily operations, support staff development, and maintain exceptional service standards throughout the venue.
Hospitality management experience is essential.
Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the pub and restaurant
- Lead shifts and ensure smooth service across all areas of the business
- Supervise, motivate, and support front-of-house team members
- Assist with staff training, onboarding, and performance management
- Maintain consistently high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction
- Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally and effectively
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, licensing, health & safety, and company policies
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, stock control, and wastage management
- Support rota management and help ensure adequate staffing levels
- Carry out opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation
- Use and oversee EPOS systems (Toast experience preferred)
- Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and presentation standards throughout the venue
- Learn and confidently communicate regularly changing menu items, promotions, and operational updates
- Support management with achieving business targets and operational objectives
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader, or management role within hospitality is essential
- Strong knowledge of restaurant, bar, and pub operations
- Experience using EPOS/POS systems (Toast preferred)
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Positive, can-do attitude with a hands-on approach to leadership
- Strong understanding of food safety, licensing, and health & safety requirements
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to take ownership of responsibilities

- DBS check required
