Rebound Care and Support are seeking to recruit flexible experienced female brain injury rehab support workers to support our client. Our client is a female who is 65 years old and lives in his property in Darlington.
Our client suffered brain injury, and requires support on a daily basis. She is fully mobile and requires support to access the community safely. Due to the effects of her brain injury, she displays social communication difficulties including making inappropriate comments, and reduced insight into social cues, so the staff would be required to help maintain her safety, facilitate community outings, and provide companionship. You will be working on 1:1 basis.
This role involves supporting client in her routine, ensuring his safety, comfort, and well-being. Focusing on rehabilitation, structure, emotional well-being, and promoting independence.
Part of the role would involve driving – therefore, access to your own car with business insurance and a full UK driving licence is essential.
Shifts:
One day per week - 7h shift - 15:00-22:00, slowly increasing to 30h per week.
Pay
£17.00-£18.50
Responsibilities
- Following personalised support plans and risk assessments
- Assist individuals in accessing community to improve their quality of life.
- Support individuals in setting and achieving their personal goals.
- Provide guidance and support to the client, ensuring best practices and a person-centered approach.
- Assist service users attend health activities.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all support provided, maintaining professional and respectful documentation.
Experience
- We are looking for supportive, patient and committed team members to provide the care during the day.
- The Ideal candidates will need to have experience in working with BI clients, attention to detail and have a can-do attitude.
Training & Background Checks
An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
