Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Van Driver/Labourer to join our team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles for deliveries, assisting with warehouse tasks, and supporting logistical operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. This role will require driving across Scotland to deliver goods to clients and sites from the base in Glenrothes.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vans for local and national deliveries and collections in accordance with road safety regulations
- Load, unload, and organise goods within the warehouse and delivery vehicles
- Assist with the movement of materials and products around the warehouse and job sites
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Support warehouse operations including stock organisation, inventory checks, and general cleaning duties as and when required
- Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner while adhering to health and safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver or van driver
- Valid driver’s licence
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
- Ability to handle physical labour including lifting, loading, and unloading goods safely
