Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dog Handler to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for handling and caring for working dogs, supporting security operations, and ensuring the safety of personnel and property. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a secure environment while providing excellent animal care.
Duties
- Assist in patrolling designated areas with trained working dogs to deter unauthorized access and enhance security measures
- Care for and maintain the health and well-being of assigned dogs, including feeding, grooming, and exercising
- Support security teams during inspections, searches, and emergency situations using canine units
- Conduct regular inspections of the dogs’ equipment and ensure all gear is in proper working order
- Engage with clients or team members to provide updates on canine activities and security status
- Follow established protocols for handling animals safely during all operations
- Maintain detailed records of dog training, health checks, and daily activities
Requirements
- Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a veterinary or animal care setting
- Knowledge of animal behavior, handling techniques, and basic veterinary care
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or animal transportation
- Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward safety and animal welfare
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and flexible hours as needed
