Were looking for an experienced and organised Parts Advisor to join our team in Swavesey, Cambridge.
If you have experience in automotive parts, bodyshop operations, accident repair, or dealership parts departments, this is a great opportunity to join a growing business where youll play an important role in keeping our workshop running efficiently.
About the Role
As a Parts Advisor, youll be responsible for making sure our technicians have the right parts at the right time, helping repairs stay on schedule and ensuring we continue to deliver an excellent service to our customers.
Youll work closely with technicians, suppliers, manufacturers, and the wider bodyshop team to source and order parts, manage stock, process deliveries, and maintain accurate records.
Identifying and sourcing vehicle parts accurately using manufacturer and supplier systems
Ordering parts and monitoring orders to ensure they arrive when required
Receiving, checking, and processing incoming parts deliveries
Managing parts stock and maintaining accurate inventory records
Liaising closely with technicians to ensure parts are available for scheduled repairs
Communicating with suppliers regarding availability, pricing, and delivery times
Resolving parts queries, shortages, and incorrect deliveries efficiently
Maintaining an organised and effective parts department
Supporting the wider bodyshop team to keep vehicle repairs progressing on schedule
Maintaining high standards of accuracy, service, and professionalism
Previous experience as a Parts Advisor, Parts Assistant, Parts Coordinator, or in a similar automotive role
Experience within an accident repair centre, bodyshop, dealership, motor factor, or automotive parts environment would be advantageous
Good knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle components
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident IT skills and the ability to learn new systems
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities in a busy environment
A proactive approach to problem-solving and stock management
