Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Plan and develop menus in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative ideas and seasonal ingredients
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality standards are met
- Prepare a variety of dishes, demonstrating advanced cooking techniques and culinary skills
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients in accordance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
- Train and mentor junior staff on food preparation, safety procedures, and hospitality standards
- Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation, including food safety protocols
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Assist in managing restaurant operations during busy periods or special events
Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Demonstrable supervising experience with team management capabilities
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and suppliers
- Previous experience in restaurant service or hospitality industry is highly desirable
- A passion for culinary arts coupled with creativity and innovation in menu development
Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
