We are seeking experienced Bank CT/MRI Radiographers to join our Radiology team, providing flexible support across our CT and MRI services.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art imaging environment, performing a wide range of CT and MRI examinations whilst delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with Radiologists, referring clinicians, nursing colleagues, and fellow radiographers to ensure safe, effective, and efficient diagnostic imaging services.
The department operates across multiple hospital locations and provides an extended-hours service. Successful candidates will be expected to work flexibly across sites and participate in weekend, Bank Holiday, and on-call rotas where required.

Perform a broad range of CT and MRI examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and professional standards.

Deliver high-quality, patient-focused care throughout the patient journey.

Assess patients' physical, emotional, and communication needs, adapting care and imaging techniques accordingly.

Ensure all MRI safety screening procedures are completed in accordance with departmental policies.

Safely operate complex CT and MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

Liaise with Radiologists and senior radiographers to ensure appropriate imaging protocols are followed.

Undertake IV cannulation and contrast administration where appropriately trained and competent.

Respond effectively to changing clinical priorities and workload demands.

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all examination documentation is completed correctly.

Participate in weekend, extended-hours, and on-call services following competency sign-off.

Support clinical audit, research, quality improvement, and service development initiatives.

Contribute to the supervision and training of students and less experienced staff where appropriate.

Report equipment faults, incidents, and safety concerns in line with organisational policies.

Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.

Current HCPC registration.

Post-registration experience within CT, MRI, or cross-sectional imaging.

Knowledge of CT and MRI safety standards and best practice.

Experience working within a busy diagnostic imaging environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.

Flexible approach to working patterns, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.

Commitment to continuous professional development and delivering high standards of patient care.

Postgraduate qualification in CT or MRI, or working towards one.

Competency in IV cannulation and contrast administration.

Experience working within acute or specialist hospital settings.

Experience supporting students, trainees, or newly qualified radiographers.

Involvement in audit, research, or service improvement projects.
