Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting air conditioning systems across various sites. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) equipment, contributing to comfortable and safe environments for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects within construction and maintenance settings.
Duties
- Install, commission, and test air conditioning systems in new construction or retrofit projects
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure HVAC equipment operates efficiently and reliably
- Diagnose faults using schematics and mechanical knowledge to identify issues quickly
- Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, filters, and control systems
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals accurately
- Lead small teams during installation or repair tasks, providing guidance and supervision
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance purposes
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in air conditioning systems and related equipment
- Ability to read and understand schematics, technical drawings, and manuals
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising or guiding team members
- Proven experience in equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting within HVAC environments
- Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding building integration processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance issues
- Relevant certifications such as F-Gas or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory
